Now that v4.1.1 is out the door, we’d like to share a glimpse of what’s to come. We are planning to release v4.1.2 on February 16th. This release will primarily consist of bug fixes and very minor feature additions. Over the next few months, we will be working on the following major features:
– Better Mobile Compatibility: We are working to make SocialEngine 100% compatible with all mobile browsers. We are also looking into creating a simplified mobile theme for better usablity on smartphone devices.
– Performance/Optimization: We are researching ways to optimize SocialEngine’s speed and performance.
– Layout: We plan to make dramatic improvements to the Layout Manager to make it easier to use and more extensible. We will also be re-thinking a few of the plugin pages to improve the usability and consistency across plugins.
We hope this information will help give developers an idea of our roadmap so that we don’t step on each others’ toes. Please feel free to post any questions!
