Hey there everyone,
I am finally announcing the public beta of SocialEngine v3. We are still wrapping up some small things with it and will be working on the beta over the weekend and during next week, but we invite you to check it out, tell us what you think, and report any bugs you might find with it. Additionally, Alex will be making changes to the frontend, so if you have any minor suggestions, feel free to pass them along.
Keep in mind that none of the plugins are installed here. The public plugin pages will appear in the top menu bar where it says “Example Plugin” and the user will be able to access their plugin control panels via the “My Apps” dropdown. Again, thank you all for your suggestions regarding the layout, they were extremely helpful (particularly those that were in the form of images).
Finally, I should remind you that many of the changes made in v3 were useful to the admin – if you would like to know whether something can be turned on/off, simply ask. If you would like to see something changed to a different setting, I can do that for you as well.
