Holidays can be such a warm and fun time of year! You can liven up your SocialEngine PHP community and help your members celebrate the holidays. We’ll give some tips to help you get your social network socializing this holiday season. All of the tips below are easy to do with SocialEngine!
Change Phrases for the Holiday
A quick and simple change you can do to surprise your members is to change some phrases on your website. For example, you could change “member/members/user/users” to “elf/elves” and have a fun family experience.
Perhaps change “What’s New” to “Happy Holiday Happenings!” or something similar.
Change Colors
It’s pretty easy to change colors. You could make a simple holiday color scheme and change the header/footer colors.
Along with that, add some festive banners for the holidays. There are plenty of sources for free images to use such as my fave, Pixabay.
Many third party experts have holiday themes. Perhaps check with your favorite third party expert and purchase a holiday theme.
Add Fun Content
With all of the features of SocialEngine PHP, you have a multitude of areas to add fun and interesting content to your community. Perhaps post some blogs about holiday celebrations, post events for your members to attend, add some trivia to your polls, create forum topics for holiday recipes – the list is endless.
